Sales Engineer (SaaS Experience Required)

$70,000 to $130,000


As Sales Engineer, you are passionate about technology and the sales process. You will invest your time and effort each day in supporting the sales process. You are an ambitious self-starter who can ramp on new technology and functionality within a short period of time – while contributing to the success of the growing sales team in a variety of manners. Most importantly, you have a strong track record of contributing to world-class SaaS sales teams with technical expertise.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand how to fully demonstrate the Maropost products: Maropost Marketing Cloud and Maropost Sales Cloud
  • All technical aspects of the sales process as it relates to the products including RFI and RFP responses, pre-sales, software demonstration pre-planning, liaising between both product and sales teams, etc.
  • Demonstrating the most innovative and cutting-edge cloud platforms in the industry (consistently ranked 5 stars on G2 Crowd)
  • Reinventing the way cloud platforms are demonstrated
  • You love speaking with all customers ranging from start ups to world leading companies. You’re excited to help companies grow revenue, thrive and want to be the one showing them the tools to do it.
  • You are technically savvy and enjoy working on problems with Dev
  • The right personality to naturally gel with Developers, hang out with Sales, brainstorm with Marketing, dig through revenue with our Analysts, and lose gracefully at foosball


  • 3+ years of successful experience as a Sales Engineer within a SaaS organization
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies
  • A proven track record at achieving and exceeding targets
  • Ability to go above-and-beyond the call of duty
  • An expertise in how to tell stories through technology
  • Leadership abilities as the need for more Sales Engineers grows
  • An obsessive attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a proven ability to balance competing demands and priorities
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to tailor approach with varying levels within an organization 
  • Exceptionally strong work ethic, self-motivated, metric-oriented, curious and driven with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills in order to run multiple opportunities 
  • Experience in crafting winning stories to address prospect pains and challenges through technology
