$34,000 to $58,000


The Sales Associate is responsible for all disposable liquid sales and account development activities in their territory to Long Term Care homes and some community hospitals.

Essential Functions:

  • Meet annual sales targets for Liquid product line sold directly to the end user in specified Territory.
  • Account management:
  • Work within established territory assignment to achieve quota goals and targets
  • Daily sales activities within Long Term Care facilities and community hospitals in territory.
  • Relationship development at all levels (clinical, management, executive, engineering, purchasing).
  • Develop quarterly territory action plans based on strategic analysis of the various business environments.
  • Prepare detailed customer proposals reflecting a comprehensive and systematic approach to providing customized solutions.
  • Coordination and delivery of equipment in-service programs.
  • Works closely with AHCA specialists (LTC Consultants and Clinical Consultants) * Full understanding of competition and health care environment.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Customer Service, and Shipping departments.
  • Provide clear communications and sales plans.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to recommend/promote/sell products and services based on observed client needs.
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with information technology concepts, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software is an asset
  • Demonstrates excellent consistent communication to all team members and management to ensure transparency and identification of business drivers and potential.
  • Ability to engage in self-appraisal and continuous learning.
  • Displays a positive service oriented attitude.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and exercises discretion in all business dealings.
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical terminology, provincial funding knowledge by sector, and third party payer claims preferably in the Health Care market.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle available for business purposes.
  • Providing support after hours, on weekends and holidays as required.
  • Travel required up to 50% of the time.
  • Self-disciplined in outside sales.


  • 1-3 years of experience is required with direct equipment sales, preferably in healthcare.
  • Educational background may vary, minimum of University Bachelor’s Degree Formal training in accepted selling methods (e.g. - Strategic Selling, Miller Heiman).
