Outside Sales Representative / Account Manager

Essential Functions:

The Sales Representative will work with and service established customer base along with developing new customer accounts through cold calls and other means. The ideal candidate will perform material takeoffs for clients to estimate product and service needs as required to complete the sales process. The Sales Representative will develop and expand Customers to increase Company sales and profits.


The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the Job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop new client accounts for Company in the GTA and Southern Ontario Region through established business relations and cold calls, etc.
  • Sale company service and product to large accounts such hotel chains, restaurant chains, banks, hospitals, property management companies, as well as to commercial and industrial restoration general contractors.
  • Signup and manage large accounts (end users) for Canuck’s Preventive Maintenance Plan (PMP)
  • Achieve annual sales and gross profit plan for assigned accounts.
  • Collect overdue accounts receivable
  • Obtain current information on clients to complete customer’s profile in the company’s C
  • Report market activity to CEO by monitoring and analyzing competitor’s price list and products. Make product recommendations for inclusion in Company product line. Proactively recommend adjustments to current product line and pricing to remain competitive in the local market.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • As a Sales Representative, you must have excellent sales talents, as well as the willingness to learn Canuck’s lines of products and services. It will also be beneficial to your role if you have existing knowledge of various door systems, not only to lend credibility to your sales presentations but also to assist the CEO in the selection of new product lines.


  • Ability to build sales and maintain strong customer relations
  • Proven sales experience in the Construction/Renovation/Trades industry.
  • Sales experience in glass aluminum industry
  • Sales experience in the commercial and industrial doors industry is preferred
  • Sales experience in overhead doors industry is an asset
  • Proven established relations with decision makers within restoration, construction, property management, commercial, industrial, and high-rise residential fields are significant assets.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints; working closely with skilled builders and renovators
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques, pipeline management, and CRM is an asset
  • Computer and mobile devices use competence
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent


Commission only. Commission schedule will be commensurate with experience, and Canuck Door Systems offers competitive salaries and benefits.
