Junior Technical Sales Representative

We are seeking a goal oriented, Jr. Technical Sales Representative who has the ability to become an amazing Sales Manager for our rapidly growing business. Our clients are large well-known organizations located in Ontario. The ideal candidate is a “go-getter” who can think creatively in gaining leads and helping our clients successfully navigate our services. We provide all the necessary tools required to achieve your goals. Efficiency and time management are key since you will be working in a fast-paced environment. Understanding the digital sales landscape is mandatory. We are seeking someone who can bring new ideas to the table and see them through to the end.

Edgecom Energy is an energy management consulting firm that provides strategic and project based energy management solutions to commercial, industrial and multi-unit residential customers in Ontario. We take a comprehensive approach to energy management – solving the technical, financial and strategic objectives that stand in the way of energy efficiency.


This is a "base pay + commission" position, we provide a base salary with a very attractive commission structure.



  • Identify sales opportunities within the target market of Ontario through research, online presence (LinkedIn, twitter etc.) and outreach
  • Identify customer needsand provide them with the best possible solutions with the support of our energy advisors
  • Arrange client site meetings/presentations using all types of sales techniques
  • Build, track and report sales pipeline on a weekly basis in CRM system
  • Assist energy managers in delivering business proposals for newly identified targets


  • Fast learner –must be able to learn technical concepts quickly
  • Effective Communicator – as the majority of this position relies on communication of our services to our clients, excellent written and oral communication is paramount
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and to meet aggressive sales targets
  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to create growth and opportunity
  • High energy, positive, optimistic, and collaborative personality


  • Experience in selling electrical equipment, HVAC, BAS, Lighting, Pumps, Motors related products is preferred but not mandatory.
  • High degree of knowledge utilizing online tools for networking (LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, Twitter etc.)
  • A 4-year post-secondary degree with a numerical focus (economics, mathematics, science, engineering) is strongly preferred but not mandatory
