Our team at A & A is looking to grow rapidly and is seeking an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales person will focus on customer acquisition. This position involves cold calling new potential clients, client business referrals, or web leads. Provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered, and additional presentations as needed. Work with client to create solutions for their needs and consult through the sales process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue. Ensure Border Buddy Inbound Sales Team meets and exceeds sales goals while continuously fostering a customer-centric sales culture.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer telephone calls swiftly and courteously to resolve customer complaints or inquiries about new sales. Follow the suggested script provided to all Inside Sales Representatives
  • Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication
  • Liaise with Customers and acting as a brand ambassador for the company. Capture customer information, including addresses and phone numbers, for future follow-up
  • Set up new accounts for customers as per the sales process using AREV and Editrade
  • Adjust your sales presentation based on success/fail averages
  • Work with the Operations/Release team as needed to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metricsMaintaining database (Salesforce, Pipedrive, Calculator, Zendesk, etc.) of prospective client information
  • Close sales and work with client through closing process
  • Process credit card payments through A & A's preferred payment provider,
  • Submit bonds through Avalon's Web Merlin
  • Complete scanning and attach documents to A & A's main system, AREV

Additional Information:

Expected Outcomes

  • Is able to set up 10 customer accounts per day though AREV, Kiosk, Salesforce, and Pipedrive
  • Meets or exceeds 20K sales target/month
  • Consistently achieves 9+ Nice Reply score
  • Identifies 1 process improvement / cost-saving initiative per month
  • Continue to build 1- 2 Champions (Existing Vendors and Carriers) relationships a month
  • Respond to quotes in the calculator platform within 15 minutes
  • Respond to leads created by Surecall within 15 minutes


  • Post-secondary education in related field preferred
  • 2+ years’ inside sales experience (incoming calls preferred)
  • Customer Service Skills: The customer is always right. Inside sales reps will need to be able to speak in a friendly way to customers and potential customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options for them
  • Strong computer skills, including GoogleSuite (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred
  • Persistence: Not every customer is going to be a sale.
  • Being able to bounce back if you lose a sale will be key for this job.
  • Flexibility: Inside sales reps might have to work long hours, nights or weekends.
  • Extremely organized self-starter, flexible and highly independent
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills
  • Communication Skills: Inside sales reps speak to customers about a product's different features, and answer any questions they might have
  • Being open to coaching and training as needed
  • Must be fun and creative and have the ability to translate that into an amazing customer experience!!!
