Inside Sales Representative

Pay Range: 

$40,000 to $45,000

Essential Functions:

  • Answer incoming calls from existing and new customers to grow Amax’s sales to those customers.
  • Make outgoing calls to generate business from existing customers and actively pursue potential new customers in industries that fit with Amax’s core competencies and objectives.
  • Focus on building sales of Cheeta and Amax house brand products.
  • Support outside sales consultants.
  • Enter customer orders into Sage accounting system.
  • Proactively contact customers as appropriate regarding orders in progress.
  • Develop and manage relationships with manufacturer sales representatives to increase sales their products to Amax customers.
  • Address questions and concerns from customers or manufacturers sincerely, on a timely basis. Communicate monthly product promotion updates to customers to maximize the utilization of active product promotions.
  • Complete other duties as required.


  • A self-starter who is organized and capable of effectively setting priorities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A passion for excellence in customer service and advocacy.
  • Proficient at conveying information over the telephone.
  • Dental industry experience considered an asset. Sound computer skills for today’s business environment.
  • Superb English written and oral communication skills.
  • Adaptable and able to quickly assess situations and solve business problems.
  • Goal oriented and a demonstrated eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, customers, and partners.

Reporting to the President of Amax BC, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for acquiring new Amax customers, working with our existing customers, and supporting our outside sales consultants to successfully position and sell Cheeta, Amax, and manufacturer branded products.
